In conclusion, if I were you (Black Hammer), I'd save my money or wait for another sale in case the perfomance and the unit distribution system has been improved by then.ĮDIT: added an extra line of text under 1. Instinct, if you read this, I would be very happy if we could have just one official answer regarding the current system: will it ever be changed? The developers did however say that they found the system to be somewhat imperfect, but at the same time that it would be hard to implement any drastic changes. If you search the forums you can find that I'm far from the only one that's disappointed with the current distribution system, but still, there are no official responses as to if there will ever be a fix. And the developers just won't give any clear answers. I've tried to make several posts (divided over a long time span, mind you) regarding how the unit distribution system completely ruins the co-op aspect of the game. Some people never reply, some people don't understand English, some people just don't want to cooperate, etc. So why don't you just tell them to send you the units you called in? And why don't you just ask in the chat who owns the unit you just got, so that you could send it back? Because with random players that just won't happen, ever. You'll end up getting alot of units that you never called in, and those that you called in yourself is likely end up with your team. Unless you in fact play exclusively with your closest friends, and you are in the same house as them OR have them on Skype/Teamspeak/Ventrilo/etc., the co-op won't be enjoyable at all. A pretty fair system, yes, but horrible in terms of management. What IS bad, is the fact that when the units come into play they are assigned to the player that currently has the lowest amount of units in his or her control. This means that whenever someone calls in (read: purchases) a unit, it will limit your possibilities to purchase units as well. Unlike Company of Heroes (I'm only using this one as a reference because we've both played it) the resources that are used to purchase units are part of a shared resource pool. Now this is by far my biggest concern with this game. EDIT: I'd just like to add that the performance is reported to be quite good by a fair amount of players as well, so I'd rather stress #2 and #3. I'd advice you to have a look at the negative reviews of the game (in addition to the positive ones as well, of course) to get a better understanding of what you can expect in terms of playability. Almost regardless of your specs you'll run the risk of having huge lags during multiplayer games (this especially goes for larger co-op games). The performance of this game is simply abysmal. While this game could (potentially) be very fun to play with friends (I'm talking strictly about PvE now, as that's what you seemed to be interested in), it has a couple of severe limitations which effectively removes close to all possible enjoyment this game could have offered.

Like you I've played countless hours of compstomps in both CoH1 and 2 as well as Age of Empires III.
